Information

All U.S. residents/citizens who have graduated from high school and are not currently suspended from any college or university (including BYU-Hawaii) may apply. This program is NOT available to applicants that have been denied admission to BYUH.

CITO Applications for SUMMER 2008, or FALL 2008,along with a Bishop's Endorsement, and a Class Request form are due in its entirety before the posted deadline dates. Be sure to include all supporting documentation and processing fee when submitting your paper work.

Availability of courses for each term or semester can be reviewed by clicking on class schedules and a Major Academic Plan template can help you plan out your courses.

CITO students are allowed to take 4 credit hours in a term, and 8 credits in a semester. The Add/Drop form is needed when making changes to your class schedules.

Tuition rates for Fall 2008 - First Term 2009 are as follows:

Regular rates apply to students that have less than 150 credits earned and have not completed the requirements towards a degree.

  • LDS............. $225.00 per credit hour
  • Non-LDS..... $450.00 per credit hour

Advanced Standing students would be individuals that have already earned 150 credit hours or a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD.

  • LDS............. $270.00 per credit hour
  • Non-LDS..... $540.00 per credit hour

Students accepted into the program are ineligible for:

  • On-Campus housing
  • Jobs at BYU-Hawaii, the Polynesian Cultural Center or any other Church entities
  • Pell Grant or other Federal Government student loan programs
  • Medical Coverage
