Kevin Rollins

Former CEO of Dell Inc.

Kevin Rollins served as the Chief Operating Officer of Dell since 2001. Prior to becoming Chief Executive Officer in July 2004, Mr. Rollins served as President and Chief Operating Officer, Vice Chairman, and President of Dell Americas. For 12 years prior to joining the Company, Mr. Rollins was employed by Bain & Company, an international strategy consulting firm, most recently serving as a director and partner.

Mark H. Willes

Former Chairman, President, & CEO, Times Mirror

Mark Willes has recently returned from serving as president of the Hawaii Honolulu Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He serves on the Executive Committee of the President's Leadership Council at Brigham Young University and Brigham Young University Hawaii. He is a member of the Marriott School's National Advisory Council, serves on the Board of Directors at Black & Decker and The Polynesian Cultural Center. He is the retired chairman, president and CEO of Times Mirror, vice-chairman of General Mills, Inc., and the first vice-president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.

President of the Polynesian Cultural Center

Von D. Orgill has been President of the Polynesian Cultural Center since 2000. He received Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Master's Degree in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University. He also spent nine years working for IBM and operated his own consulting firm for three years. He has been the Senior Vice President for Covey Leadership Center in Provo, Utah and Executive Vice President in charge of Franklin Covey's Professional Services Group.

After graduating from the University of Utah, where he majored in Mathematics, President Wheelwright received an MBA and a PhD from The Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He first taught at INSEAD, (an international business school in Fountainebleau, France) and then taught at both the Harvard Business School and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. President Wheelwright retired from HBS in August 2006, after serving as a Senior Associate Dean for 8 years with responsibility for the MBA Program, Faculty Hiring and Planning, and Publications (as Chairman of HBS Publishing.) President and Sister Wheelwright presided over the London England Mission from 2000-2003, and were missionaries at BYU-Idaho when called to serve as President of BYU-Hawaii.

Gary Crocker

Chairman of Merrimack Pharmaceuticals

Gary L. Crocker initially invested in Merrimack and joined the Board in 2004, and was elected as Chairman in the spring of 2005. Mr. Crocker is President of Crocker Ventures, LLC, a life science private investment firm. He is in the midst of his second term on the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Branch of San Francisco and also serves as a member of the Advisory Board of Sorenson Capital, an LBO private equity fund. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Crocker was the founder and CEO of publicly traded and Uteh based Research Medical, the world's largest manufacturer and developer of heart surgery catheters. The firm was sold in 1997 to Baxter International. He has held senior executive or director level positions in several successful life science firms including Interleuken Genetics, Inc, and LineaGen Genetics, LLC., and as a co-founder and director of Theratech, Inc. which was acquired in 1999 by Waton Pharmaceuticals.

Charlie Davis heads the law firm of Davis | Miles, PLLC, with offices in Phoenix, Albuquerque and Tucson. His firm, rated AV by Martindale-Hubble, employs approximately 60 lawyers. Mr. Davis represents businesses and individuals in real estate, estate planning, asset protection, corporate, partnership, mergers, acquisitions and other business-related matters. Mr. Davis often speaks on estate planning and asset protection and is the author of numerous business/legal articles. He has also published many stories, a novel and a children's book. Mr. Davis, with his wife, Jill, have founded several successful business. Mr. Davis was co-founder of Law.com (later sold to the investment bank, Wasserstein Perella ), and he and his wife founded the popular Web site, Scrapbook.com.

Co-Founder of Hawkins Capital

Jason Galloway is a co-founder of Hawkins Capital, which is a private real estate fund that provides short-term debt financing for commercial and residential real estate projects in the Western U.S. from $500K to $5 Million.  He oversees principal investing, portfolio management, underwriting and investor relations. Prior to Hawkins, Jason worked in land development and finance in Utah and Colorado. He also spent several years in New York doing real estate consulting, commercial loan underwriting and finance.

After graduating from Brigham Young University in Business, Gary Hawkins worked in real estate, primarily in the brokerage field. He founded Hawkins & Associates, which included both commercial real estate and project development. He has been and continues to be an active Senior Instructor in the Commercial Investment Division of the National Association of Realtors and has taught seminars on market and financial feasibility throughout the United States for the past twenty years.

Clayton Hubner

Dean, School of Busiiness, BYU Hawaii

Clayton Hubner has nearly 25 years of academic, management consulting, and executive leadership experience. He is currently the Dean of the School of Business at Brigham Young University Hawaii. Prior to assuming this role, he taught courses in operations management, strategy, leadership, and international management. His previous academic experience includes a stint doing executive education for the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, nearly five years on the Operations and Information Technology faculty at the College of William and Mary, and graduate research and instructional appointments at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Besides his academic contributions, Clayton has spent many years in industry, often in the technology sector.

Filmmaker

Peter Johnson is a writer, producer and director who has worked on a variety of well-known projects, some Church-related, some mainstream. Johnson's documentary entitled "Journey of Faith: The New World" will be shown at the PCC IMAX. In this pre-release movie produced by Johnson, Father Lehi's children experience a strange new world as they discover thriving cultures, cultures that had very different beliefs in God. Johnson "was recruited from Hollywood in 1983 to revamp the academic film program at BYU and later to upgrade the BYU Motion Picture Studio." He was once an executive producer with the Audiovisual Department of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Johnson was one of the screenwriters of "Thanksgiving Promise," the 1986 Disney television movie based on a novel by (Fellow BYU faculty member Glenn L. Anderson (author of The Millennium File and The Doomsday Factor ) was another screenwriter for that project.) Johnson also worked on "The Witching of Ben Wagner", a 1987 Disney television movie directed by Paul Annett, and written by Malcolm Marmorstein.

Dal Zemp is the Chairman of the International Business Conference held annually at BYU-Hawaii. Dal has started over 14 companies in the US, Canada and Europe. His most recent ventures include the founding of Whisper Creek Log Homes, Kodiak Mountain Stone, and Paradise Canyon Golf Resort and Land Corporation. Before entering business, Dal spent 10 years with the Special Olympic Organization in Canada and Utah. He was also the Director of Competition for the 1991 World Special Olympics Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He returned to business in 1992 as a means to raise capital for his charitable efforts.

Richard Hendrickson began his career with Lifetime Products as a welder on the graveyard shift. He quickly moved to area supervisor over basketball rim production, where he was responsible for the purchasing, training and implementation of the first manufacturing robot at Lifetime. In 1991, he moved into the sales department, and advanced quickly to become East Coast Sales Manger, then Vice President of Sporting Goods Sales and was responsible for launching the International Division at Lifetime. He was named Vice President of International Operations and CEO of Lifetime Hong Kong in 2002. In his current position as President, Richard is responsible for all Operations, Research and Development, U.S. Manufacturing, Sales and Marketing and International Operations.

Fred Lyons is the owner and principal in Lyons Real Estate & Development based in Mesa, Arizona. Mr. Lyons specializes in land brokerage and real estate investment in Arizona and Idaho. Mr. Lyons also works with US-based groups to establish business relationships in Taiwan and China. A native of Boise, Idaho, Mr. Lyons served a mission in Taiwan and graduated from BYU with a degree in Business Management Finance, co-concentration International Business. Mr. Lyons worked in Taipei for two years managing a real estate investment company. He returned to the US and worked with Taiwanese businessmen investing in US real estate and imported several items from Asia.

President and CEO of Russell-Newman Inc.

As president and CEO of Russell-Newman Inc., David's current role encompasses the operation of an international company, Russell-Newman Inc. The company currently produces ladies', men's, and children's sleepwear, loungewear, and robes under labels such as; Tommy Hilfiger, Cypress, and Laura Ashley. Production takes place in 13+ countries and 55+ factories. From 1939 to the mid 80's all products were produced domestically, conversely today all products are produced off shore. He has served as President/CEO since 2000 and has worked for the family company for 33 years.

Warren Osborn

Chairman and CEO of Seastone, Entrepreneur

Warren Osborn is the Chairman and CEO of Seastone, the industry leader in gift card accessories. He has founded, funded, and managed businesses in a variety of industries including media production, manufacturing, direct mail, importing, design, video replication, technology, and packaging. He is the founder of Osborn Video, Inc., Seastone Media Group, and Seastone CPG. One of Mr. Osborn's companies was recently ranked as the second fastest growing company in Utah. Another developed the new HD-DVD and Blu-ray disc cases establishing the global packaging standard for next generation DVD discs. Warren is also an active angel/venture investor and has helped guide numerous other successful companies. Seeing great humanitarian need through his work in China over the past 20 years, Warren established the Seastone Foundation which provides philanthropic aid to orphans and disadvantaged children. He received a BA in Chinese from BYU, and a MBA from Duke University.

Mr. Pierson joined Certiport in April 2000 as its President & CEO. In March 2005, he became the Chairman of Certiport China and Executive Vice President of Certiport, Inc. He has been instrumental in directing the company's growth and development, including Certiport's evolution as the leading provider of global, performance-based certification programs and services and driving Certiport's entry into the China market in 2004. Mr. Pierson has served as Vice President of the global field/channel marketing for Novell, Inc. He also has experience working as vice president of check products for International Verifact Inc.; vice president of sales and marketing, and vice president of engineering and development for Soricon Corporation; senior vice president of sales and marketing, director of OEM sales, subsidiary president, and regional sales manager for Key Tronic Corporation; general manager for Pacific Cabinet Corporation; and as a marketing executive for IBM.

Reed Quinn

Seastone Executive & China Production Manager

Reed M. Quinn began his career in China as a project manager for a joint venture between a US research and development firm and a Chinese composite manufacturer. He has lived in and worked with China for the last eight years. Reed speaks Mandarin fluently and has a deep understanding of and respect for Chinese culture. Working with hundreds of Chinese manufacturers, Reed has developed custom products in China for more than half of the top 100 largest US retailers. He is currently pursing his Masters in Business Administration through Brigham Young University's Executive MBA program. Reed specializes in development of China-US products and logistics.

Erwin Roth, a native of Salzburg, Austria, is currently with Roth Strategy & Trans-Culturisation and Tactical Implementation. Roth is also a publisher and editor for several publications. He has been affiliated with the international publishing house "pro Sport Publishing," which specializes in sporting literature, for 25 years. His publishing achievements include "The History of the Olympic Games of the Modern Era 1896-2006 series." Roth served as the CEO and President of Orbit Holding, associated with ISM International Sports Marketing, and a partner with LDS Books Schubert & Roth. He has also served as the President for the ProSport/OSB in Salt Lake City, Utah which included the Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid in 1989 and Olympic Summer Games in Los Angeles in 1984.

Cortney Smith is a seasoned entrepreneur who first landed in Taiwan in 1985 and moved to Shanghai in 1996. With a 20 year history of living and doing business in the Greater China region, Cortney has founded and managed 5 companies there, partnered 6 joint venture investments, and completed 35 large scale turn key projects in 20 Chinese Provinces in the amusement park industry. These "local" experiences combined with his fluent Chinese have allowed Cortney to absorb an amazing education to draw from and a colorful repertoire of lessons to be shared. Having done business at many levels of government and in the private sector in China, Cortney continues to drive his business there and always seems to have a beat on what is going on in this dynamic economy.

Kevin Smith

Co-founder and President of SansegalChina

Kevin Smith is the co-founder and president of SansegalChina, a product design, manufacturing and training company headquartered in China. SansegalChina has been in business in China for 15 years. Kevin's background includes an industrial design education at BYU and an LDS mission in Hong Kong. He has lived and worked in South China for nearly 20 years. He road as a member of the US Junior Cycling Team and lived at the US Olympic Training Center. He was a promotional boat driver for Mastercraft Waterski boats and still tries to be a competitive waterskier. He's a husband and father of 3. Empowering individuals through faith, opportunity and education are dear to Kevin's heart and are at the core of SansegalChina's reasons for existence.

Former Chairman, CEO & Managing Partner of Price Waterhouse Coopers, China

Kent Watson is former Chairman, CEO, and Managing Partner of Price Waterhouse Coopers, China. He has a 35-year career in public accounting in the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, and China. He has a BS and Masters of Accountancy from Brigham Young University. He and his wife have 5 children and 12 grandchildren. His interests include reading, running, travel, church, family, and Chinese.

Larry Dahl

Former Associate Dean of Religious Education BYU

Larry Dahl is the former Department Chair of Church History and Doctrine and Associate Dean of Religious Education for Brigham Young University. He spent 12 years working in the LDS Church Education System including four years as Administrator of Seminaries and Institutes in the Hawaiian Islands. Bro. Dahl has worked at Church Headquarters in the Curriculum and Melchizedek Priesthood Departments. After retiring from BYU, he directed the BYU Semester at Nauvoo program in Nauvoo, Illinois for four years.

Sheri Dew

Author and CEO of Deseret Book

As an Author and CEO of Deseret Book, Sheri Dew is the first woman to head Deseret Book Company, which is owned by Deseret Management Corp., the for profit holding company of the LDS Church. She served as second counselor in the LDS General Relief Society Presidency, and is a veteran of the LDS publishing industry. As an author, she has written, among other things, the biographies of President Gordan B. Hinckley and President Ezra Taft Benson.

Ardeth Kapp

Board of Directors member for Deseret Book Company, Southern Virginia University, and Utah Youth Village

Ardeth Kapp was born and raised in Alberta, Canada. She graduated from the University of Utah and received a master's degree from BYU and became a member of the BYU faculty. She served as a member of the Board of Trustees for BYU and the Church Education System (CES) and as General Young Women president from 1984-1992 prior to accompanying her husband who presided over the Canada Vancouver Mission. She was later called as the Gospel Doctrine teacher in her ward and Institute Teacher at the University of Utah. She served as matron of the Cardston Alberta Temple.  She currently serves on the board of directors for Deseret Book Company, Southern Virginia University and Utah Youth Village. Ardeth is a popular author, having numerous books published by Deseret Book, many becoming best sellers.

Lynn Rosenvall

Former President of Cardston Alberta Temple

Dr. Rosenvall studied at the University of Utah, earning his bachelor's and master's degrees. He attended the University of California at Berkeley and was awarded a PhD in geography and history in 1972. He was a professor at the University of Calgary, and a university administrator for some eighteen years, until his retirement in 2003. He is a published author and has produced seven nationally televised documentaries on the news gathering process. Since 1986 he has been a pioneer in the field of interactive and Internet-based computer applications. He has served in numerous callings for the LDS Church including two missions in New Zealand, stake president of both the Calgary Alberta North and West stakes, Regional Representative, Area Seventy, and most recently as Temple President of the Cardston Alberta Temple. He is married to Beth A. Kurtz. They are the parents of five children and reside in Cardston, Alberta, Canada.

Andrew Skinner

Executive Director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship at BYU

Andrew Skinner, former Dean of Religious Education at Brigham Young University, now serves as Executive Director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship at BYU. He received his bachelor's degree in history from the University of Colorado in 1975. He earned a master of arts in Hebrew Bible--Judaic Studies from the Iliff School of Theology in 1978 and a master of theology in Biblical Hebrew from Harvard University in 1980. Skinner received his doctorate (PhD) in European and Near Eastern history from the University of Denver in 1986. He is a professor of Ancient Scripture at BYU.

Kimball Taylor

Founder of the Children of Israel Foundation

On April 6, 1998, Dr. Taylor established The Children of Israel Foundation, a nonprofit organization with the mandate to help the Jewish people wherever they may be in need. His efforts recently led the City of Jerusalem to dedicate a new city park in the name of Kim and Marianne Taylor. Dr. Taylor has become good friends with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and many other prominent Jews within Israel and in America. Dr. Taylor has also been actively involved the past few years as a member of the Jewish Agency- the organization originally organized by Theodore Herzl that addresses concerns of Jews within Israel and throughout the world. He is the only person among the 300 voting members that is not Jewish. He has also recently been invited by the Government of the State of Israel to become a member of the Christian Alliance Caucus to the Israeli Parliament.

Wendy Watson Nelson

Institute Teacher

Wendy L. Watson Nelson holds a Ph.D. in family therapy and gerontology. Prior to her marriage to Elder Russell M. Nelson on April 6, 2006, Sister Nelson was a Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy for 25 years. She taught for 12 years at the University of Calgary in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and the last 13 years at Brigham Young University–teaching doctoral students and masters students. In 1999 and 2000, she chaired the BYU Women's Conference. She is the author of several books including (Rock Solid Relationships); and several talks on CD including (Things are not always as they appear.)

Merrilee Webb

Music Educator & Entrepreneur

Merrilee Webb received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Brigham Young University Provo and was named BYU's "Most Outstanding Musician" in 1983. Miss Webb just returned from teaching at Brigham Young University Hawaii where she served as the director for the Men's and Women's choirs, taught theory, music education courses, piano and voice. She taught choral music for twelve years in both junior and senior high schools in Sandy, Kearns and Bountiful, Utah. While teaching at Bountiful High School, Miss Webb maintained an average of 700 students in her choral program. Merrilee currently directs "We Also Sing!" a women's choir of 360 voices. Merrilee has worked in several theatres in Utah and directed theatre while at BYU-Hawaii. She also directed two shows for the opening season of Playmill Theatre in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and served as a Director in Training for the LDS Nauvoo Pageant in the summer of 2007. Miss Webb has been the president of Infinity Business Ventures since 1996 and owns a successful recording studio. She also owns Reading Keyboard Music, LLC, recently releasing a 16-week course on DVD that has been used worldwide including the USA, Germany, Philippines, Singapore, Uganda, New Zealand, Thailand and Brazil.

LaVell Edwards

Former BYU Head Football Coach

LaVell Edwards was BYU's head football coach from 1972 to 2000. His offensive scheme was passing-dominated. He started coaching in an era when college football offenses were dominated by strong running attacks. His quarterbacks threw over 11,000 passes for more than 100,000 yards and 635 touchdowns. Edwards coached prominent quarterbacks such as Gary Sheide, Gifford Nielsen, Marc Wilson, Jim McMahon, Steve Young, Robbie Bosco, Ty Detmer, Steve Sarkisian, and Brandon Doman. In 1984, he was named National Coach of the Year after BYU finished the season 13-0 and won the National Championship. Edwards retired after the 2000 season with a 258-101-3 record, a .722 winning percentage.

Director, Center for International Entrepreneurship at BYU Hawaii

After a successful career as a lawyer and entrepreneur, Greg is currently the director of the Center for International Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University Hawaii. He earned his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1978. His entrepreneurial activities included ownership of a securities broker dealership and several startup public ventures. He was the vice president – legal Penneco Energy Inc. which was acquired by Marathon Oil. He joined the Brigham Young University Hawaii faculty in 2002.

Chad Lewis of the Philadelphia Eagles and the point man for the NFL in China will bring a unique perspective on the emerging NFL in China. He will also be speaking about his experiences as an 11 year professional athlete and his membership in the church.

Tom Mullen

Associate Athletic Director Brigham Young University

Tom Mullen currently serves as a Senior Associate Athletic Director and Director of Development for Athletics at Brigham Young University, Provo campus. He is responsible for all Athletic development including major gifts, Cougar Club, scholarships, Coaches Circle, special events and former-athlete outreach. Earlier in his career, Tom was involved in small business consulting and was a cofounder of Folio Corporation. He was invited by the LDS Church to join their LDS Philanthropies office. He still serves on the senior leadership team for LDS Philanthropies at BYU-Provo in addition to his work at Athletics. Tom, along with his wife, Susie, and their children, recently returned from service as mission president in the New York Utica Mission. They enjoy outdoor activities including triathlons. Tom has been actively involved in volunteerism, including service as a board member and president of Utah Special Olympics.

Reunion

Ric de Azevedo, Jim Pike & Gary Pike

Reunion, formerly known as "The Lettermen", will perform a private concert. Jim Pike, the founder of the original Lettermen group, and Gary Pike, Jim's brother, had an unprecedented (46) forty-six consecutive hit record ALBUMS on Billboard Magazine's national charts, twenty (20) hit singles, two gold singles, 9 GOLD RECORD ALBUMS, 5 Grammy nominations, and have sold to date over $100 MILLION worth of records, tapes and CD's worldwide. In October 2001, Jim and Gary as "The Lettermen", were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Billboard Magazine referred to Jim and Gary Pike as "The Greatest Romantic Vocal Group of All Time!" Because of overwhelming requests to re-unite, Jim Pike and brother Gary, who is a former Lettermen for more than 14 years, along with Ric de Azevedo who gained fame as a member of the King Family, television's "First Family of Song," have re-united their harmonic singing talents to now be known as "RENUION."
