International Business Conference 2007

This conference is for business owners, entrepreneurs, real estate and stock
investors who are looking for new and aggressive strategies for
creating wealth in a changing world!

Kevin Rollins, former CEO of Dell Inc. will be the keynote speaker. His experience
leading one of America's top companies through a period of dramatic
growth will be the highlight of the conference.

Award winning coach, LaVell Edwards, who led the BYU cougar football team for 28 years, will be a featured speaker prior to the live broadcast of the BYU vs TCU game. Edwards' coached six all-American quarterbacks and in addition his players have won the Heisman Trophy, A Doak Walker Award, a Maxwell Award, two Outland Trophies, four Davey O'Brien Awards, eight Sammy Baugh Awards, and 31 All-America citations, including 11 Consensus All-Americans. Edwards retired with a .722 winning percentage and ranked sixth in all time victories. He was awarded the Amos Alonzo Stagg Award by the American Football Coaches Association in 2003. Enjoy the wit and wisdom of legendary Coach Edwards and an exciting football game.

 

The focus of the conference is "Doing Business in China." Ten top LDS Business leaders, each managing large Chinese holdings and investments, will help you navigate through the opportunities of doing business in China. Their years of experience and corporate connections will be invaluable to anyone wanting to initiate business with China. Chiness business strategies will be presented in small group sessions, panel discussions, and a keynote address. There will be ample time for questions and answers. You will have the opportunity to meet and associate with these business leaders in both formal and casual settings.

 

Chad Lewis of the Philadelphia Eagles and the point man for the NFL in China will bring a unique perspective on the emerging NFL in China. He will also be speaking about his experiences as an 11 year professional athlete and his membership in the church.

The Stock market investing sessions are being conducted by the "Best in the Field." Ross Jardine, CEO of True North, founder of INVESTools and imall. His teams have trained thousands of individuals to become home based stock investors.

 

Back by popular demand is Gary Hawkins, CEO of The Hawkins Group. Gary is one of America 's leading real estate developers, investor, and home builder. He will be sharing his strategies on evaluating, financing and closing deals. He will discuss cash flow strategies as well as utilizing the 1031 tax exemptions. These sessions will provide practical strategies for the beginning to advanced real estate investor.

The religion sessions will be lead by renowned Author, former member of the General Relief Society Presidency, and CEO of Deseret Book, Sheri DewWendy Watson Nelson, former BYU Professor and wife of Elder Russell M. Nelson. Ardeth Kapp former Young Women's General President will also be speaking.

Andrew Skinner, Director of the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship, will be speaking on the Institutes efforts to translate and preserve the ancient texts as well as presenting on the basic tenets of Islam. Larry Dahl, former Associate Dean of the BYU Department of Religion will also be presenting a two part series on the Plan of Salvation.

The night of November 7 will be a night to be remembered as the singing group "REUNION" formerly known as "The Lettermen" will perform a private concert. Jim Pike, the founder of the original Lettermen group, and Gary Pike, Jim's brother, had an unprecedented (46) forty-six consecutive hit record ALBUMS on Billboard Magazine's national charts, twenty (20) hit singles, two gold singles, NINE GOLD RECORD ALBUMS, five Grammy nominations, and have sold to date over $100 MILLION worth of records, tapes and CD's worldwide. In October 2001 Jim and Gary as "The Lettermen", were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame. Billboard Magazine, referred to Jim and Gary Pike as "The Greatest Romantic Vocal Group of All Time!" These guys are legends.

The Big Kahuna Golf Tournament

The Big Kahuna Tournament will be held on the George Fazio
Course. The LPGA Tour's Hawaiian Open and the first Senior Skins Game,
which included Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player and Sam
Sneed was also held on this course. The George Fazio Course features
generous fairways, deep bunkers and immaculately sculpted greens.

only $135. After October 1, 2007, tournament spots will only be given
on a space available basis for $150. All registration fees are
non-refundable. Golf club rental fee is $45 at the Club House.

  • Single/Double: $229 (exclusive of Hawaii tax of 11.96%)
  • $50 for each additional person (plus, applicable tax per guest per night).

This
rate is based on availability (limited to 50 rooms) and is valid until
October 1, 2007 (cutoff date). This rate can also include up to 3 days
prior and 3 days after the event, depending on availability.

Reservations received after the cutoff dates will be at the prevailing rack rate and based on availability. A
reservation fee of $299 per night is due and payable to Turtle Bay for
failure to cancel a guaranteed reservation by 4:00pm CST on the arrival
